About

The Disability Studies Forum hosts papers from visiting speakers, and Notre Dame faculty, postgraduates, and undergraduates. Our activities also include reading groups, supporting disability awareness student groups on campus, and encouraging research on disability at Notre Dame.

The Notre Dame Disability Studies Forum began life as a Kaneb Center faculty "learning community" seeking to expand dialogue among disciplines on the subject of disability and to explore teaching strategies that expand accessibility to our students. Additional support has been given by the Institute for Scholarship in the Liberal Arts in the College of Arts and Letters, and by the Mellon foundation.

We are in the process of developing the undergraduate and graduate student side of the forum, and welcome student initiatives and suggestions for future events from interested students. Undergraduate students are welcome to attend all sessions.
